The Horse Shed Shop’s range of shelters is undoubtedly the best and most durable shelters on the Australian market. Our shelters are designed from the ground up with your horses' safety in mind. We only build horse structures, so these shelters are not modified aviaries, carports or gazebos. While we can build you timber framed shelters, like we use to 20 years ago, experience has shown that steel framed shelters are safer, stronger and more durable than timber framed shelters. Timber posts are prone to splintering and splitting causing sharp edges and protrusions which can injure your horse. Added to this, anyone that knows horses knows that, horses tend to chew exposed timber which can be toxic and reduce the life of the shelters. With standard features unequalled by any others our shelters are also the best value for money. Our shelters, whether erected or kit set, come complete so there is no need to source materials to finish them off. All our paddock shelters are concreted into the ground. We will not build portable shelters as they are prone to movement when horses rub against them and can even blow over in a strong wind, you’ll never see that happen with a Horse Shed Shop shelter. We have an extensive range of standard shelters but we are more than happy to custom design to your requirements as long as it meets our safety standards. Our standard paddock shelter is a large 3.8m x 3.1m, which is large enough for one or two horses. Constructed with heavy duty 100mm x 100mm Galvanised RHS posts and galvanised steel framework our shelters are built to last. All our shelters come standard with hardwood plywood kickboard lining, anti-chew capping, roofing grade .42 Colorbond, Zincalume or Galvanised cladding. See our links page for Colorbond colour range.
